Gregory Clive Cope was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada on December 8, 1947 to noted West Coast painter, Dorothy Stevens Cope; and Graphic Designer Clive Cope. He and his younger sister grew up surrounded by their parents' artistic pursuits and the influences of a close-knit artistic community. Greg studied at the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr School of Art), under Ron Stonier, Don Jarvis & Master Printmaker Bob Evermon. Since graduating with honours in 1976, Greg has travelled extensively in Spain, Italy, Greece, Baja California and Mexico. |
